EVEREST MARATHON CHALLENGE FOR BLUE DRAGON - RUNNING FOR HOPE
Hi! My name is Tram (Teresa) I teach yoga and Aquafit in Vietnam. At 52, I am embarking on one of the toughest challenges of my life - the Everest Marathon. This is not just a race; it is a test of resilience, a journey of purpose, and a mission to change lives.
For years, I have pushed my limits as a triathlete, marathoner, and trail runner. Each race has taught me that the human spirit is stronger than any obstacle. But beyond personal achievements, I believe in using my passion for endurance sports to create meaningful impact. That’s why I am dedicating this Everest Marathon to the Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation, an organization that rescues and supports children in crisis.
WHY THIS MISSION IS PERSONAL TO ME
Born and raised in Vietnam, I understand the hardships that many underprivileged children face poverty, lack of education, and, in some cases, the risk of trafficking and exploitation. Blue Dragon gives these children a second chance, rescuing them, reuniting them with families, and providing education so they can rebuild their lives.
When I first learned about their mission, I knew I had to do something. Running has always been my way of overcoming challenges, finding freedom, and proving that limits exist only in our minds. Now, I want to use my steps to bring joy and hope to these children.
EVEREST MARATHON: MY ULTIMATE CHALLENGE
This adventurous event takes place from May 16th to June 2nd and includes trekking through the Himalayas. The race begins at Everest Base Camp (5,356m) - the highest starting point in the world, and passes through jagged moraines and icy glacial streams. No mountain is too high when we run with purpose, and I can’t wait to take on this journey!

MY GOAL: $10,000 TO CHANGE LIVES
I have set a goal to raise $10,000 for Blue Dragon. Every dollar goes directly to rescuing and supporting children in crisis.
No amount is too small. Every step I take is powered by your generosity.
Every day, I practice gratitude. I thank my body for accompanying me through 52 years of adventures and beyond. I have pledged to donate my body to the medical university and give blood three times a year.
My 52nd birthday is coming up on March 15th. If you’d like to give me flowers, please consider using that money to donate to Blue Dragon instead. I would be truly grateful!
