On September 19 2025, I’m taking on the challenge of running 100km at the Vietnam Mountain Marathon in Sa Pa, Vietnam as part of the @BlueDragonChildren Foundation Running Team. However, this journey isn’t just about me—it’s about giving vulnerable children in Vietnam a chance at a brighter future.
The Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation rescues kids from trafficking, supports children and families living on the streets, and helps them rebuild their lives. Through the Blue Dragon Running Club, children - for example, Bình, just six years old - are discovering confidence, resilience, and the joy of running. Last year, Bình proudly completed his first 5km race at VUM 2024, hugging his medal all the way home - a powerful reminder that running can change lives.
Running my first trail marathon was an unforgettable experience - the emotional highs and lows, the encouragement from fellow runners, and the incredible sense of unity and community; everyone helping each other and pushing themselves to their limits. I’ve completed 5 trail races in Vietnam thus far; 25km at the 2023 Vietnam Jungle Marathon in Pù Luông, 42km at the 2024 Vietnam Trail Marathon in Mộc Châu, 70km at the 2024 Vietnam Mountain Marathon in Sa Pa, 75km at the 2025 Vietnam Ultra Marathon, 100km at the 2025 Ultra Trail Đà Lat, and achieved 17 loops (110km) at the 2025 Hàm Lợn Crazy Tour (a backyard-styled endurance event where runners run the same loop every hour).
Now, I’m running with a bigger purpose: to raise funds to provide emergency shelter, warm clothes, and meals for children in crisis.
