Last year, while travelling through Vietnam, I was struck by the contrast in living conditions that I witnessed. Seeing the inequality firsthand made me reflect on how much of our lives is shaped by circumstances beyond our control. It made me question why I have had access to education, opportunities, and support networks, while so many children and young people face significant barriers simply because of where they were born.
That experience stayed with me long after I returned home. It reinforced my belief that many of the opportunities we have in life are shaped by circumstances beyond our control and, in many ways, by geographical and socioeconomic luck. Everyone deserves the chance to feel safe, access education, and build a better future.
This January, I will be running the Hong Kong Marathon to raise funds for Blue Dragon Children's Foundation. Blue Dragon does incredible work supporting vulnerable children, rescuing young people and adults from human trafficking and exploitation in Vietnam. By taking on this challenge, I hope to contribute back to the country that stuck out the most to me, in a small way to helping more children and young people access the opportunities and support they deserve.
Any donation, no matter the size, would mean a great deal and help support Blue Dragon's life-changing work.
Thank you for your support!
