Hello friends,
My name is Luat, a community and environmental activist from Vietnam.
In 2020, I left my stable job to launch Hanh Trinh Gom – a cycling journey across Vietnam aimed at collecting trash and promoting collective community action for environmental and social development.
Over the past five years, I have led numerous initiatives such as nationwide clean-up campaigns, community fundraising, reforestation projects, and expanded my cycling routes through Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand. Throughout these journeys, I have remained committed to one mission: encouraging communities to join hands for a better world.
This year, 2025, I am setting out to pursue a bold dream: a cycling journey from Vietnam to Old Trafford Stadium in England — to fulfill my lifelong dream of watching my beloved team play at Old Trafford. The journey will span 31 countries over 22 months, filled with excitement, challenges, and hardships.
Like my past journeys, this one is also dedicated to the community. My goal is to raise 31,000 USD — one dollar for every kilometer I ride from Vietnam to Old Trafford — in support of the Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation, which works tirelessly to fight human trafficking and to support children and vulnerable communities in Vietnam.
I know it will be extremely difficult to achieve this goal alone. That is why I truly hope to receive your companionship and support along the way. You can help by cheering me on, sharing this story, or contributing directly to the fundraising campaign. Together, we can bring more joy and hope to this world.
