On 13th April, I will be running my first half marathon and raising money for Blue Dragon Children's Foundation in the process. Anyone who knows me knows how much I hated running and couldn't even run for 5 minutes just over a year ago, so this won't be easy for me. However, it's a challenge I'd like to conquer and in doing so, give back to the country that I'm now lucky enough to call a home away from home by donating to such an amazing cause.
Blue Dragon is a charity that helps children in crisis including victims of human trafficking, children living on the streets, and those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Since 2003, Blue Dragon has rescued over 1,700 people from human trafficking and helped thousands more to escape poverty and access education. You can look at their website/Instagram page to read about the incredible work they do to rescue children from crisis situations and help families to have a better future.
